Russia-Ukrainian War is an ongoing prolonged conflict that started in February 2014, when Russia (Earlier – The Soviet Union ) annexed Crimea. Since then, the conflict has risen with more movements from Russia. On the other hand, Ukraine is supported by NATO and European Union to tackle the Russian troops invading Ukraine. The conflict has centered on the status of Crimea, some parts of the Donbas, which are mostly determined as part of Ukraine internationally. This poured into a global crisis and provoked concerns over a potential invasion.

Ukraine is the 2nd largest nation in Europe after Russia. Ukraine has well-preserved culture and traditions on its own. Who were the first people to settle in Ukraine?

However, Ukraine is a developing nation ranking 74th in the HDI (Human Development Index). It is the poorest nation in Europe, suffering from an extremely high poverty rate and severe corruption. However, its expansive fertile farmlands make it one of the biggest grain exporters globally.

What does Russia want from Ukraine?

Ukraine is 44 million people, previously part of the Soviet Bloc, which shares a 1,200-mile border with Russia. While, Russia’s need of the hour is the 1,200-mile border, which is the rightful place among the world’s great powers, US and China.
