Miniatürk is one of the world’s biggest miniature parks covers a total area of 60,000 m2. It was opened by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on May 2, 2003, with a 15,000 m2 . Miniatürk includes 122 models in1:25 scale and structures are from in and around Turkey. It also contains a brief explanation of some historic structures. Miniatürk is located in Golden Horn which is a North-Eastern seashore in Istanbul.

It includes 40,000 m2 of open space, 3,500 m2 of covered and 2,000 m2 of pools and waterways. Miniatürk also contains a wide parking area to hold 500 vehicles. 62 structures from Istanbul, 60 from Anatolia, and 12 from Ottoman territories are displays at Miniatürk. The Temple of Artemis at Ephesus and the Mausoleum of Maussollos at Halicarnassus are also structured in a historic section. By walking on the lawn you can see some Turkish Grand buildings such as Hagia Sophia, Suleymaniye mosque, fairy chimneys, and Mount Nemrut. Mini Train will make a tour to watch the miniature building. Each model and structure has a speaking machine that will explain its own history.

Miniatürk also includes a children’s play area, remote boat, Mini stadium, outdoor demonstration area, Gift shops, restaurants, and coffee shops. The mini stadium is a new and attractive stadium with extraordinary lounges having the ability to hold 53,000 spectators. Audio guide related to the work in the park is available through the Mobile Application service, which can be downloaded via Apple Store or Google Play. Miniature Park completely displays the riches of Turkey in one place. It is one of the most visitable places in Turkey with families; here children really like the train ride and outdoor playing .
