Kuwait, a country in the Gulf region was a constitutional sovereign state with semi democratic political system. From 1899 to till independence in 1961 the foreign relation and defense of ruling Kuwaiti AL-SABAH dynasty was overseen by Britain. In 1938 oil reserves were discovered and crude oil export was started in 1946 at that time, the country seen large scale development. Due to the stock market down, Kuwait faced economic crisis. On 2 August 1990, Kuwait was attacked by Iraq and it made aerial bombardment for few weeks to conquered Kuwait. The US led UN coalition to releases Kuwait from Iraq. To repair the oil reserves which were damaged during the attack Kuwait spent more than $5 billion. Kuwait maintains its relationship very well with United States and China. The Bani Utub settled in Kuwait in 1716 with few fishermen and it serves as a fishing village. In 18th century, it act as trading centre between India, Muscat, Baghdad and Arabia and also as boat building centre. On Kuwait’s total population, 70% are expatriates who are mostly Indians and Egyptians. Other ethnic group are Arabs and Persians.
Land
It is a semi democratic country in western Asia has a total area of 17818 square kilometers. It is one of the smallest country located in the north eastern border of Arabian Peninsula shares its border with Iraq and Saudi Arabia. Most of its region was covered by serene desert sands of Arabia and is home to Nine Islands. With Kuwait city as its capital it is a highly developed country which contains some tallest and awe-inspiring buildings. Kuwait also acts as a major tourist destination.

Kuwait has the population of 4.21 million in 2019. According to the UN Data in 2019, the population density is 236.1 people per square kilometer. The life expectancy at birth of male was 74.1 years and female are 75.9 years. The sex ratio is 155.9 males per 100 females.
Religion
The citizens of the country are mostly Muslims so Islam is the main religious faith and Arabic is the official language. It contains some native Christian citizens where expatriates of various religions are also found. They are Hindus, Christians, Buddhists and Sikhs.

By the world’s sixth-largest oil reserves, high-income economy based on Petroleum experts. The Kuwaiti dinar is the highest valued currency and the fourth-highest per capita income in the world. Among GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council), Kuwait has the leading position for the financial industry. Other than petroleum and finance, the country is highly developed in tourism, education, transport, health, and research. The GDP in Kuwait was worth 140.50 billion US dollars in 2018. The HDI value of 0.808 in 2018 get the 57th rank for a highly developed category for human.
