Fiji an Island country became independent in 1970, after a big for century as a British colony. Humans inhabited the island nation from 2nd millennium BC, Austronesians are the first inhabitants of Fuji. Later it was occupied by Melanesians and Polynesian. From 17th century Europeans entered Fuji. In 1987, the democratic rule of Fiji was blocked due to two military conspiracies. The 1990 constitution and conspiracy ensured native Melanesian control of Fiji, it led to Indian emigration. Fiji’s low population sometimes results in economic difficulties. A peaceful election conducted in 1999 resulted in a Government led by Indo-Fijian. But in May 2000, public led conspiracy caused long term political turmoil. The parliamentary held in 2001, provide a Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase who was democratically elected. He was the sixth Prime Minister of Republic of Fiji. From 2007 Josaia Voreqe Bainimarama grabed the power and he became the 8th & current Prime Minister of Fuji. He is generally known by Frank Bainimarama.

Fiji an Island country in South Pacific Ocean has a total area of 18,274 square kilometers and consists of more than 330 islands and of this 110 is permanent islands. Fiji is also home to 500 small islands called by islets. The country cruise ship port stays on Suva, which is the capital of Fiji . The Viti Levu and Vanua Levu island holds the majority of country population.

The population density of 50.5 people per square kilometer is current as of March 2020. In its total population 28.9% of population is under age 15, 65.9% of population is between 15 and 64, 5.2% of population is above 65 ages. The median age is 27.6 years. The life expectancy of male is 69.5 and female is 74.9.

Fijians are the native inhabitants of Fiji who are the mixtures of Polynesian and Melanesian. The official languages of Fiji are English and Fijiuan. Most of the Indo-Fijians are generally Christians, while some others also belong to other religion.

Economy

Fiji is the most developed economy in the pacific region, with its abundant forest, mineral and fish resource. Fiji faced several economic difficulties in 1980’s due to political coup. During this time Fiji faced high rate of emigration and it lost its skillful workers. The Island nation is highly dependent on tourism and sugar exports, for revenue. The recent GDP growth was due to expansion in Urbanisation and service sector. Tourist activity on Fiji is mainly on white sand beaches and astonishing island having tropical weather all over the year. The Reserve Bank of Fiji building in Suva is the tallest building in Fiji. Fuji with the HDI value of 0.724 in 2019, get the 98th place. In 2018, the GDP (nominal) estimation is $5.223 billion (total) and $5,876 (per capita). The GDP (PPP) estimation is $9.112 billion (total) and $10,251billion (per capita).
