Music lovers arriving at Expo 2020 Dubai will be mesmerized by the local and worldwide demonstrations taking to the stage every night this weekend.
Thursday, October 21
The music treat begins on Thursday, October 21, with well popular Pakistani singer-composer Ali Zafar in front of an audience at Jubilee Park at 2045, before Late Nights @ Expo, highlighting Syrian composing celebrity Iyad Rimawi, takes over from 2200. Most popular for his soundtracks to such TV series as Nadam and Godfather, Rimawi’s presentation will be trailed by Serbia’s Eyot, which mixes Balkan jazz, traditional music, and art-rock.

Friday, October 22
Starting on Friday, October 22, for two nights, British singer-composer Sami Yusuf performs at Al Wasl Plaza with his show, ‘Beyond the Stars.’ This long-hour music show starts in 2030, with the chance to see it again the next evening at the same time.
Yusuf drives a series of musicians worldwide, with a special show impressed by the themes of Expo, the tradition of the UAE, and the Silk Road. Assuring fresh material, the event includes the flair of Guo Gan, expert of the erhu, a traditional two-stringed Chinese instrument, and Moroccan vocalist Nablya Maan, just as Indian sitarist Asad Khan and Azerbaijani singer Teyyar Bayramov.

Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman’s Firdaus Orchestra will perform with 50 women artists from the Arab World at Expo 2020 Dubai on Saturday, October 23. All-female artists perform a stellar space-themed repertoire featuring Western classical music. Musical talents from across the Arab world occur in the orchestra, along with 50 women from 23 diverse nationalities. On stage at Jubilee Park, the performance begins at 1900.
