Atlanterhavsveien (The Atlantic Road)

Atlanterhavsveien or The Atlantic Road is the most spectacular Norwegian Route that runs through the impressive islands in Hustadvika and Averøy municipalities. As a section of County Road 64, this 8.3 km long road, with twists and turns through an archipelago like a snake, is connected by numerous causeways and eight bridges. Storseisundbrua, the longest bridge; Kjeksa, splendid viewpoint; Eldhusøya, hiking path are the main attractions. A unique combination of nature and engineering makes it one of beautiful places to visit in Norway. Great spot for bird watching and to indulge in water activities too.

The Fjords

The Fjords are the most naturally gorgeous and astounding landscapes in Europe and are one of the prime attractions in the Scandinavian country. Magnificent Fjords now appear on many travelers lists on Norway‘s beautiful places, which makes everyone speechless!! Surrounded by high cliffs and waterfalls, the glacial valleys are extremely silent, with their stunning beauty. Closely followed by Hardangerfjord, Sognefjord is the country’s longest, deepest, and most famous waterways. Finally, don’t miss visiting Jostedalsbreen glacier, Nordfjord, Geirangerfjord, the most scenically stunning fjords.

Trolltunga

Trolltunga is a beautiful area and one of the most terrific picturesque precipices in Norway – yet it’s just for the courageous. Also known as the ‘troll’s tongue,’ the unique rock Trolltunga is cradling 700m above the Ringedalsvatnet lake in Skjeggedal, at 1100m above sea level. Hiking to Trolltunga is an intimidating adventure. From the top, you will feel that you are floating between the sky and water, thrilling and unbelievable!! You can also have stunning views of the fjord landscape and Folgefonna glacier.

Skudeneshavn

Situated on the southernmost edge of the traditional island of Karmøy, Skudeneshavn is a historic town and one of the must-visit beautiful places in Norway. This thriving port town is boosted with a wonderful atmosphere, full of wooden houses, twisted narrow roads, and boat moorings. Skudeneshavn’s streets are filled with numerous cafes, shops, and galleries, and most importantly, its stunning white wooden buildings add charm to this place.

Stetind, Norway’s National Mountain

Situated in Narvik in the Nordland county, Stetind, which majestically rises from the sea, sits on the beautiful landscape. Standing at 1.392 meters above sea level, Stetind is the tallest mountain and the most iconic landmark in Norway. All these facts earned him a title, Norway’s National Mountain. However, the vertical, smooth cliff has an obelisk shape that gives a very different look. Mountaineering and rock climbing are the most adventurous-thrill activity at this spot.

The Briksdalsbreen Glacier

Briksdalsbreen is the most accessible and popular glacial arm of Jostedalsbreen. Set in Briksdal Valley, toward the end of Oldedalen Valley, Briksdalsbreen Glacier is one of beautiful places in Norway located in Stryn. Popular glacial arm lies in a lovely environment between high pinnacles and thundering cascades, dropping 1200 meters into the narrow Briksdal valley underneath. It is a marvelous sight, drawing in guests from everywhere in the world. Kleivafossen waterfall is the most photographic place that sits on the way to the Briksdalsbreen glacier. Briksdal is truly a hikers paradise, which offers numerous opportunities.

Bergen

Magnificently encompassed by mountains and fjords, Bergen is the most picturesque city in Norway. Further, the great inspiration for the super-hit Disney animated fantasy film, Frozen. Flavored with medieval buildings, ancient Norwegian churches, and colorful timber houses, Bergen is one of beautiful places to visit at night in Norway. It’s a laid-back place with a choice of great museums, amazing stores, and open-air cafes.

Rondane National Park

Rondane National Park is a place for thrill-seekers!! Situated on the eastern side of southern Norway in Innlandet county, it is the first national park in Norway. Its diverse mountainous region, including amazing mountain scenes and stunning valleys, makes it a popular tourist destination in Norway. However, Rondvatnet Lake, at the heart of the park, is the main attraction. This tranquil space with more than ten peaks with summits over 6,560 ft is perfect for everything from hiking to skiing.

Jotunheimen National Park

Jotunheimen National Park covering a total area of around 1151 sq. km, is one of Norway’s beautiful places, which occupies most of the mountainous region of Jotunheimen. Mountaineering, hiking, skiing, cycling, trekking, and camping are the popular adventurous activities here. The national park boasts over 250 mountains of almost 2000 meters high in Northern Europe: Galdhøpiggen at 2,469 meters and Glittertind at 2,465 meters are the two highest peaks. Catch a glimpse of wildlife, including reindeer, fox, marten, mink, wolverines and lynx, and surprisingly the uncommon brilliant hawk.

Mjelle Beach, Bodø

Mjelle Beach is a stunning beach in the north of Norway. It is one of beautiful places in Norway to explore while visiting the Norwegian town of Bodo. You can make a simple hike through excellent green tree-lined paths to turquoise waters, and expansive areas of gemstone glinted sand. Because of its natural and magical scenery, Mjelle Beach is also a paradise for photographers in Norway. It is a mesmerizing place to watch the midnight sun too!!

Nigardsbreen glacier

Glaciers are natural wonders!! Nigardsbreen glacier is the most accessible; hence it should not be missed while visiting Norway. Experienced guides are happy to take you to the blue ice via a short boat trip or by walk. You can look into the ice at close range and get lost in the astounding reality of one of the most available parts of the Josteldalsbreen glacier. The Trollstigen Drive

Great spot for thrill-seekers!! Nestled between the villages of Åndalsnes and Valldal, Trollstigen is the most stunning Route in Norway. The masterpiece in engineering amidst glorious natural landscape will make your drive a genuine drive around. Serpentine winding mountain road has eleven hairpin bends which offer phenomenal scenery of the mountain. Runde Island

Settled in the rough sea in Herøy municipality, Runde Island is also Norway’s beautiful place, popularly referred to as a bird’s paradise. This little island is home to more than 5 lakh birds that come for nesting season. Birds are active all around the year and flourish in the wild and untamed environment at Runde during winter. A boat trip around Runde offers precious options to watch the exotic birdlife and their activities closely.
