12 Bull Tammers Injured with Small Wounds at the Event

By Tamil Nadu Government order, Jallikattu is planned to conduct in Ayyampatti, a village in Uthamapalayam town in Theni District, on 7.2.2021. There are nearly 600 bulls and 300 participants were involved in this contest. This contest was conducted from 8 am to 4 pm on 07-Feburary-2021. For every 75 minutes, there are 50 sports persons allowed to participate.

Due to Corona Virus infection, the rules and regulations for conducting Jallikattu has been restricted under the strict guidelines of Government of Tamilnadu. Participants have to undergo a full medical checkup before entering into the ground, and they have to get a proper identity card from the committee conducting Jallikattu. Bulls who will participate in Jallikattu will have to submit a medical certificate from the nearby Government Veterinary Hospital. Stages are safely arranged for news and press peoples, and also viewers. Taking videos on mobile phones is strictly restricted in the ground.

Security fences are erected around the Jallikattu site; even emergency vehicles are also arranged to take injured persons. Following the Tamil Nadu Government’s safety measures, Ayyampatti Jallikattu was held better with the support of various Departments, committee members, and the general public.

Atleast 1 Audience has been died in the ayyampatti jallikattu event held at ayyampatti. Murugasen (29) s/o. Sakthivel, audience who came from Chinnamannor District, has been died at the spot due to bull hit from his backside.
